Buprenorphine/Naloxone Website Collections

Buprenorphine is a decades-old medication, used in the US since 2003 in combination with naloxone for treatment of addiction to pain pills and heroin.   The use of the drug has been unjustly controversial since the numbers of patients treated with buprenorphine/naloxone have increased, which is due to the current epidemic of heroin addiction in the US.

Brand names for buprenorphine plus naloxone include Suboxone, Zubsolv, and most recently, Bunavail.  Brand treatments offer advantages such as child-resistant packaging and tamper-proof design, but most doctors would say that little difference exists between expensive branded vs. inexpensive generic formulations.

The pages of this site contain an exhaustive collection of web sites related to buprenorphine, Suboxone, and other products in the same category.  If you have a valuable site that we’ve missed, please send it our way for inclusion.  The one exception would be web sites that serve the purpose of advertising the services of physicians.  We have deliberately avoided those sites, since they often contain bias, or at least the perception of bias.  Treatment with buprenorphine is already subject to falsehoods and rumors;  we make every effort to collect parties that are, for the most part, free of commercial bias.

Thank you for joining us;  the site will be produced over the next few weeks.  The first list includes sites supported by the US Government, as part of the ever-present ‘war on drugs.’

After that page is a listing of privately-owned and privately-funded sites.  If you have a site that you would like included, please send me the link to your site by email— along with whatever other information you would like me to include.

Group sites offer the experience of other addicts in finding a road to recovery.  Readers are encouraged to take MEDICAL advice with a grain of salt… but the experiential information can be invaluable.
